Job summary

MercyOne Health System is hiring a Unit Secretary/Monitor Tech for the 12-hour night shift on a 0.9 FTE schedule (36 hours/week) from 6:00pm to 6:30am. You will perform clerical duties, monitor cardiac rhythms, transcribe physician orders, and support patient care on a nursing unit.

Qualifications

• Must be 17 years of age; in some areas may be 18.
• High school diploma or GED preferred; CNA registry encouraged where applicable.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire and annually thereafter.
• Mandatory reporting training completed within 6 months of hire and every 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Perform clerical duties and receptionist tasks on the nursing unit.
• Observe cardiac monitors and interpret rhythms; transcribe orders.
• Record vital signs and reports; transport patients and obtain medications or records as needed.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and confidential environment; communicate care effectively.
