Job summary

The Oregon State Hospital Salem Campus is recruiting a Mental Health Therapy Technician (MHTT) to provide direct patient care under RN supervision. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and support therapeutic interventions in a safe, therapeutic environment.

As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will deliver targeted behavioral interventions, document patient observations, and ensure compliance with Oregon Board of Nursing standards.

Qualifications

• Eighteen months of customer service experience in crisis management, safety or mental health settings.
• Two-year associate’s degree in a related field or equivalent education/experience.
• CNA may substitute six months of experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct Patient Care: assist with activities of daily living, treatment activities, and safe patient transport.
• Therapeutic Interventions: deliver behavioral/medical interventions and de-escalate crises.
• Clinical Compliance: adhere to OSBN standards and safe care practices.
