Job summary

SpectraCare in Dothan, Alabama is seeking a dedicated direct-care worker for a 12-hour night shift (7 PM–7 AM) at Kornegay Foster Home. This role involves supporting individuals with daily living activities, ensuring a safe, clean facility, and providing transportation when required by the program.

Responsibilities include meal preparation, skill-building, medication assistance under nurse supervision, thorough documentation in the electronic health record, and adherence to program policies.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Must be 21 years or older, good MVR, and willing to submit to motor vehicle report check.
• Pre-employment background check and drug screen required.
• Must obtain CPR and MAC certification upon hire.
• Prefer previous experience providing patient care in a mental health or substance abuse treatment environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities, meal preparation, and cleaning to meet consumer needs.
• Teach group and individual basic living skills.
• Provide transportation using the program vehicle as required.
• Ensure efficient operation and safety of the facility.
• Assist with medication under nurse supervision using MAC certification.
• Complete required documentation in the electronic health record system.
