Newport Beach Memory Care is seeking a dedicated Medication Technician to assist in administering prescribed medications to residents under physician and nursing supervision. You will follow established policies, accurately prepare and document meds, and verify resident identity before administration.

You will report errors or reactions, maintain detailed records, and collaborate with Health Services to improve medication safety and QA outcomes.

Formación

• Must possess, as a minimum, a high school education or its equivalent.
• Must be a licensed Medication Aide having successfully completed a state approved training program and any necessary examination(s) in accordance with state laws.
• Ability to document and report medication administration accurately.
• Familiarity with facility policies for medication handling and safety.

Responsabilidades

• Follow facility policies governing the administering of medications to residents.
• Accurately and safely prepare, administer, and document oral/topical medications.
• Verify resident identity before administering medication.
• Document and report medication errors or adverse reactions to the Health Services Director.
• Support quality assurance programs and participate in relevant committees.
