Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field is required.
• Certification as ASCP/AMT/AAB or passing CLT proficiency exam required.
• 0–2 years of acute care experience preferred or required as stated.

Responsibilities

• Performs moderate and high complexity tests accurately and efficiently.
• Adheres to quality control procedures and documents results.
• Conducts instrument function checks and preventative maintenance.
• Troubleshoots instrument malfunctions and notifies appropriate personnel.
• Ensures compliance with safety regulations and laboratory policies.
• Communicates test results and issues to staff and supervisors.
• Assists with proficiency testing and regulatory data collection.
• Performs phlebotomy duties as needed and collects urine drug screens.
