Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology required.
• Certified MLT (ASCP or AMT) within 1 year of start.
• Minimum 1 year of related laboratory experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a hospital lab environment with attention to safety and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate specimens for testing according to established lab protocols.
• Perform accurate and timely testing and reporting of results.
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments; troubleshoot issues as needed.
• Perform phlebotomy (venipunctures, fingersticks) as required.
• Follow universal precautions, safety procedures, and exposure control plans.
