Job summary

Aspirus Eagle River Hospital in Eagle River, WI, is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Lab Tech for a full-time night position in the Central Clinical Laboratory. This role requires independent judgment across chemical, bacteriological, serological, hematological, and microscopic testing.

You should have a degree in Medical Laboratory Science and certification (MT-ASCP or MLS-ASCP) or be on track to obtain it within 12 months; BLS may be required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of laboratory standards and practices normally acquired through completion of an associate or Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science.
• Possesses active MT-ASCP, MLS-ASCP, or equivalent or attains within 12 months of hire.
• Annual competencies as required by Aspirus and/or regulatory agencies.
• Current BLS certification may need to be obtained.

Responsibilities

• Perform chemical, bacteriological, serological, hematological, and microscopic procedures in the Central Clinical Laboratory.
• Exercise independent judgment and interpretation in high complexity testing per CLIA 88.
• Ensure compliance with laboratory standards and regulatory requirements.
