Job summary

Healthcare Staffing Professionals is seeking a Medical Assistant/Correctional Health Technician in Phoenix, AZ. You will perform MA duties under supervision, document in the EHR, and prepare patients for exams while recording histories and vital signs.

Responsibilities include injections, venipunctures, basic lab tests, scheduling, and maintaining supplies. Night openings require 3x12-hour shifts weekly for a minimum of 13 weeks, with an emphasis on accuracy and patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Certificate from an MA accredited Health Care Training Program per AZ statute 32-1456(D) or listed exceptions.
• Current N95 fit testing certificate.
• Current First Aid Certification.
• Minimum one year of prior experience in this position.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office for documentation and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Perform MA duties within scope of practice under supervision.
• Complete documentation in the electronic health record.
• Prepare patients for examination and treatment; take histories and vital signs.
• Record chief complaints; perform procedures, tests and examinations.
• Maintain exam/procedure room supplies and transcribe provider orders.
• Schedule return appointments and administer injections, immunizations, and TB tests.
• Perform venipunctures and basic lab tests; conduct general office duties.
• Utilize Microsoft Office to create documents, spreadsheets, emails and calendars.
