Job summary

BJC HealthCare is seeking a CNA to provide direct patient care on the Med Surg floor during night shifts. You will support licensed nurses, assist with ADLs, monitor vital signs, and document patient data. This role emphasizes patient safety and teamwork in a Magnet-recognized system.

The position is part-time, 24 hours per week, with rotating holidays and every-other-weekend requirements at Memorial Hospital Belleville/Shiloh campuses.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CNA certification preferred.
• Experience not required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care under the supervision of the nurse.
• Administers or assists with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and takes vital signs.
• Documents patient care activities with correct terminology.
• Acts as 1:1 patient safety sitter when needed.
• Ensures supplies and equipment are available to meet patient needs.
