Job summary

CHRISTUS Health in Texas is seeking a registered nurse to provide comprehensive patient care during a 7PM–7AM shift. The nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care using the nursing process and collaborate with the care team.

The ideal candidate holds an RN license, a BSN is preferred, and has at least one year of related experience. BLS is required and ACLS may be required after orientation. New nurses participate in orientation and competency validation.

Qualifications

• RN license in state of employment or compact required.
• BSN preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred.
• New nurses must complete orientation and competency validation.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation.
• Administer medications and treatments per protocol; monitor adverse effects and effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care given.
• Educate patients and families; assess learning needs and resources.
