Job summary

City Wide Facility Solutions is seeking a Night Manager to help govern contract compliance for building maintenance services in the Lawrence/Topeka area. The role involves managing relationships with Independent Contractors, reviewing work scopes, and ensuring service levels meet client expectations.

The Night Manager will coordinate with the Facility Services Manager daily, oversee multiple buildings, and drive continuous process improvements while maintaining safety standards and strong

Qualifications

• High school diploma required or equivalent.
• 3 years of prior management experience leading a team in multi-unit locations.
• Building, facilities, janitorial or similar industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee nightly operations and contract compliance across multiple buildings.
• Review scope of work and ensure service levels meet client standards.
• Coordinate daily with the Facility Services Manager and communicate issues.
• Make recommendations for IC work assignments and enforce policies.
• Manage inspections, complaints, and new client starts; VIP attention as needed.
• Maintain relationships with independent contractors and ensure safety compliance.

We are seeking a Night Manager to join our team in the Lawrence/Topeka area! The Night Manager is responsible for assisting with the management of contract compliance for designated building maintenance services, as well as maintaining the relationship between City Wide and Independent Contractors. Employees must possess the ability to review the client contract and verify that work expectations have been met.

Essential functions

• Develop and maintain productive working relationships with Independent Contractors (IC) by communicating client priorities and collaborating on solving problems.
• Review the scope of work and ensure quality assurance per account to retain existing business and gain new business.
• Communicate with the Facility Services Manager daily for any issues that need immediate attention, including the nightly recap via email or phone message.
• Make recommendations for IC work assignments, manage to client standards and company guidelines, and discharge if not meeting the service level agreement.
• Manage inspections, customer complaints, customer requests, new client starts, or VIP treatment needing attention.
• Execute City Wide’s New-Start Policy, Customer Complaint Policy, Four Star Policy, and other operational policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with client policies & procedures, approved cleaning tools and equipment, and their proper use.
• Other duties as necessary.
• This position is hybrid as you will be overseeing mutliple office buildings.

• High school diploma required or equivalent experience in commercial janitorial services industry.
• 3 years of prior experience in management; coaching, motivating, developing, and leading a team in multi-unit or locations.
• Building, facilities, janitorial or similar industry experience a plus!
• Strong planning, organization skills, and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be innovative and strive for continuous process improvement.
• CRM experience preferred
