Job summary
gpac is seeking Maintenance Technicians for a growing food manufacturer in the Green Bay, WI area. This hands-on role focuses on diagnosing equipment failures and making effective repairs, not just replacing parts.
The 2-2-3 schedule, with 5pm-5am shifts, provides predictable scheduling and wide exposure to mechanical, electrical, PLC, hydraulic and automated systems. Growth opportunities exist within a expanding maintenance team.
Qualifications
- 2+ years in food manufacturing maintenance or 5+ years in other manufacturing maintenance.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Electrical and PLC troubleshooting experience.
- Experience with hydraulics and automated production equipment.
- Experience with boilers, HVAC, CIP, wastewater, spiral freezers, flow wrappers, cartoning/packaging equipment, or similar systems is a plus.
- Experience writing/editing SOPs is helpful but not required.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair production equipment.
- Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance and repairs.
- Troubleshoot PLCs and controls; programming is not required.
- Maintain hydraulic and automated production systems.
- Respond to breakdowns and restore production quickly and safely.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Support equipment reliability and continuous improvement.
- Follow food safety, GMP, LOTO, and plant safety procedures.
