Job summary

Georgetown Behavioral Health Institute seeks a Licensed Vocational Nurse to deliver general and psychiatric nursing care for patients hospitalized for psychiatric or emotional disorders. The role supports the hospital's care philosophy and patient safety.

Responsibilities include monitoring patient health, guiding staff, and administering prescribed treatments. Requires ADN/BSN or equivalent and Texas LVN licensure, with CPR and SAMA training within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• ADN/BSN or equivalent.
• Must possess current LVN licensure in the State of Texas by the Nursing Board.
• Must possess or obtain a valid CPR certification and SAMA training within 30 days of hire.
• Experience – None required. Prior psychiatric healthcare experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality general/psychiatric nursing care to patients.
• Monitor health and well-being of patients across shifts.
• Guide non-professional staff in observing patients and report changes.
• Provide prescribed medical treatment to patients.
• Maintain knowledge of psychopharmacy and psychotropic medications.
• Perform related duties as assigned by professional staff.
