Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking a dedicated Line Haul Driver to join our OD Family Culture. As a Line Haul Driver, you will operate various tractor-trailer combinations over long distances, delivering our customers' freight with precision and reliability.

This full-time overnight position offers a 5-day workweek, home most nights, a strong work-life balance, and benefits including tuition reimbursement for recent trucking school graduates.

Qualifications

• Must have 12 months of tractor-trailer driving experience or be a graduate of a state-certified truck driving school.
• Must have a valid Class A CDL with double/triple trailers, tanker, and hazmat endorsements.
• Must read, write and speak English and perform basic math.
• Must pass DOT medical, drug and alcohol tests.
• Must be willing to be away from home for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate long-haul tractor-trailer combinations over long distances.
• Perform pre-trip inspections and ensure load securement.
• Record deliveries using tablets/phones and navigation tools.
• Unload and secure freight at customer sites as required.
• Maintain compliance with safety and DOT regulations.
