Kelso School District is seeking a dedicated Night Custodian to maintain clean, safe, and attractive facilities. The role supports meetings, classroom activities, and events, ensuring minimal disruption and proper maintenance.

The position requires high school diploma or equivalent, experience in custodial work, and ability to follow safety procedures. It offers benefits and a schedule from 3:30pm to 12:00am, 260 days per year, with potential assignments based on program needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and/or equivalent or prior job related experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
• Knowledge of cleaning materials, equipment and safe work practices including MSDS requirements.
• Ability to use a computer for basic tasks (spreadsheet, word processing, email) or willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Upholds board policies and follow administrative procedures.
• Coordinate personnel to maximize workforce efficiency and meet shift requirements.
• Monitor custodial staff to maintain positive working relationships.
• Direct custodians' daily/weekly tasks to ensure timely completion.
• Request equipment and supplies to maintain inventory and facilities.
• Arrange furnishings and equipment for events outside school hours.
• Clean school facilities to maintain a sanitary and safe environment.
• Deliver items to appropriate parties and inform staff of activities and safety.
