Job summary

Baptist Health is hiring a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or MT for a full-time night shift starting at 5:30 PM in Kentucky. The position offers a 15% differential and involves performing routine lab work on blood, urine, and tissue samples with accurate reporting of results.

Qualified candidates will have an associate degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Laboratory Technology, or an approved equivalent.

Qualifications

Associate degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Laboratory Technology is required.
In lieu of the degree, military training or specific 60 semester hours with chemistry/biology courses may satisfy the requirement.
Education or training equivalency must include clinical/lab exposure as described.

Responsibilities

Conduct routine laboratory procedures on specimens such as blood, urine, and tissue samples.
Analyze test results to determine the presence, absence, or cause of disease.
Maintain laboratory equipment to ensure accurate and timely reporting of findings.
Function as an educator as necessary.

Education

Associate degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Laboratory Technology

Alternate qualification: high school graduate with 50+ weeks military Medical Laboratory Specialist training or 60 semester hours with required sciences
