Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Clinical Lab Associate I, Specimen Processing in Madison, WI. You will perform accessioning, processing, and automation support for the Specimen Processing Department under supervision.

The shift is Tue–Fri, 10pm–7:30am. Requires a High School diploma, basic computer skills, and legal work authorization in the United States. A life sciences background is preferred and prior lab experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Degree/General Education Diploma.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Experience using computers to include Internet navigation, email, Microsoft Office Suite.
• Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation.
• Legal authorization to work in the country of employment without current or future sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Support and comply with the company's Quality Management System policies and procedures.
• Maintain documentation of problems and problem resolutions following GDP.
• Support departmental goals that align with organizational priorities.
• Work with leadership to identify and progress on development goals.
• Support operational initiatives including quality and process improvements, SOP development, inspections and audits.
• Complete all mandatory training and annual competencies on time.
• Handle and dispose of all specimens following standard precautions and safety policies.
• Understand and comply with lab and safety regulations.

Education

Associate degree or Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, or field related to the essential duties of the job
