Job summary

Providence Health Plan Group in Texas is seeking a Per-Diem Laboratory Technician to support Blood Bank, Hematology, Chemistry, Urinalysis, and Histology. You will perform routine collection procedures and assist technologists and technicians in processing specimens.

You will coordinate clerical/reception duties related to laboratory testing and relay information between the laboratory, other hospital areas and clients.

Qualifications

• Laboratory experience is preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.
• Medical Terminology familiarity is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine collection procedures and specimen processing.
• Assists technologists and technicians in Blood Bank, Hematology, Chemistry, Urinalysis, and Histology.
• Coordinates and performs clerical/reception duties related to laboratory testing.
