Duke Health’s Inpatient Phlebotomy team at Duke Regional Hospital seeks a phlebotomist to join a state-of-the-art laboratory. The role supports specimen procurement, processing, and analysis for patient care, requiring careful handling of samples and accurate documentation.

Preferred candidates have at least 1 year of inpatient phlebotomy experience, a high school diploma or GED, and phlebotomy training. Night shift hours are 9:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.; PRN availability is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; phlebotomy training recommended.
• At least 2 years experience as Clinical Tech I or Phlebotomist with competency.
• Certification as a Phlebotomist may be required in certain roles.

Responsabilités

• Perform a variety of routine and specialized procedures.
• Obtain total volume and distribute urine specimens as required.
• Identify and label specimens accurately and maintain patient safety.
• Utilize hospital information systems and laboratory software.
• Maintain inventory and ensure quality control and safety procedures.
