Job summary
Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a General Neurology Inpatient Per Diem Night role. The clinician will assess, plan, and implement coordinated care for neurology inpatients, working with a multidisciplinary team and adhering to NJ regulations.
Responsibilities include history and physicals, ordering tests, prescribing medications, and contributing to research and professional development.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an NLN/AACN accredited nursing program.
- Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Prescriptive authority through CDS and DEA registration per NJ law.
- Physician Assistant program accredited by AMA Council on Medical Education.
- Board certification as NP or PA is required.
Responsibilities
- Performs history and physical assessments appropriate for patient age and condition.
- Orders and interprets lab tests and diagnostic studies in collaboration with physicians.
- Prescribes medications per hospital policy and NJ regulations.
- Provides patient and family education and coordinates care planning.
- Participates in interdisciplinary rounds and quality improvement activities.
