Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health seeks an Experienced Neurosurgical ICU APN/PA for per diem night coverage. The role includes assessing, monitoring, and managing patient needs under physician supervision in a busy neuroscience ICU across NJ facilities.

Candidates should have acute care certification or PA credentials, strong critical care skills, and the ability to perform H&P, orders, and patient education in collaboration with the medical team. Inpatient weekend rotation is included.

Qualifications

• Experienced in neurosurgical ICU care and perioperative assessment.
• Licensed PA or APN with certifications as applicable in NJ.
• Ability to perform and document H&P assessments for adults.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical services under physician supervision.
• Perform, order, and interpret labs and diagnostic studies in collaboration with physicians.
• Prescribe medications safely per hospital policy and NJ regulations.
• Promote patient- and family-centered care and participate in rounds.
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure smooth transition of care.
