Georgia Crown Distributing Co. is seeking a Night Industrial Maintenance Technician for Alabaster, AL. The role focuses on maintaining electrical and mechanical equipment, reading blueprints, and performing preventive maintenance on conveyors and motors.

The technician works primarily on 2nd shift (6 p.m. – 3 a.m., Sunday through Thursday) and may be on call for service/repair. A high school diploma or GED plus technical training is required, with strong safety awareness and English proficiency.

Qualifications

• Reading mechanical and electrical blueprints.
• Basic PLC troubleshooting skills.
• Preventative maintenance schedules & routines.
• Must be able to communicate in English (speak, read, and write).
• Must be able to complete required written paperwork (purchase requests, PM records, etc.).
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be 21 years of age with a HS Diploma/GED and 2 years Technical School or equivalent OJT with electrical motors, conveyors, ASRS, or mechanical systems.
• Can operate a scissor and/or boom lift and work at extended heights up to 40 feet.
• Must be safety minded and promote safety at all times while working.
• 2nd shift Sun-Thu 6p.m. -3a.m.; on-call as needed.
• Must be computer literate and pass background checks.
• MVR considerations apply; no major violations in past years.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret mechanical/electrical blueprints for PM and repairs.
• Perform preventative maintenance routines and record PM activities.

Come join our team at Georgia Crown Distributing Co. as an Industrial Maintenance Technician in Alabaster Alabama. Georgia Crown is a full-service alcoholic beverage distributor with wholesale operations doing business in Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Reading mechanical and electrical blueprints
• PLC's-Basic PLC trouble shooting skills
• Preventative Maintenance schedules & routines.
• Must be able to communicate in English (speak, read, and write)
• Must be able to complete required written paperwork (purchase requests, PM records, etc.).
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be 21 years of age with a Hight School Diploma/GED and 2 years Technical School or equivalent OJT with electrical motors, conveyors, ASRS, or mechanical systems.
• Can operate a scissor and/or boom lift and work at extended heights up to 40 feet.

• Prior experience preferred in the following areas:
• Position will work primarily on 2nd shift from approximately 6p.m. -3a.m. Sunday -Thursday.
• Must be able to be on call to help service/repair machinery as needed to help cover other mechanic while out or on vacation.
• Must be computer literate.
• Must be able to pass background check (i.e. police backgrounds, reference checks…).
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record:
• Cannot have more than two (2): moving violations and/or at-fault vehicle accidents (any combination) in the past three (3) years (for speeding, violations must be under 16mph)
• Cannot have more than one (1): speeding violation of 16-29mphORat-fault accident in the past three (3) years
• Cannot have a major violation such as: DUI/DWI, hit-and-run, reckless driving, and/or super speeder (29+mph) violation in the past five (5) years
