Job summary

The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking board-certified or board-eligible Pulmonary/Critical Care physicians for fee-for-service night shifts in the MICU. Work onsite at the CU Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, CO, with an open rank to Instructor through Professor depending on experience.

Positions are part-time and may involve multiple candidates. Salary is paid per shift, with emphasis on clinical coverage and educational duties within the Division of Pulmonary Sciences

Qualifications

• MD/DO; Board certified or board eligible in pulmonary and/or critical care.
• Eligible or licensed in Colorado (license before working).
• Certified to see adolescents and adults.
• Current or past faculty appointment as an Instructor/Senior Instructor/Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor in an academic medical institution.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient evaluation and management of acute and critically ill patients with complex medical and pulmonary diseases.
• Staff the Medical Intensive Care Unit and/or Medical Surgical Progressive Care Unit.
• Ordering and interpreting tests and evaluations for patient management.
• Collaborating with consulting services on patient management.
• Perform invasive procedures with appropriate credentials.
• Provide cross-coverage for other service lines within the Division as needed.
• Support the educational mission of the division.
• Other duties assigned by leadership.
