University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, CO, invites applications for an ICU - Day NP/PA at the Instructor/Sr. Instructor level in the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery.

The role focuses on comprehensive critical care for postoperative cardiothoracic patients, with rounding, orders, and discharge planning in the CT ICU. The position requires collaboration with CT surgeons, residents, and nurses, plus involvement in protocol development and quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Provide comprehensive critical care management to postoperative cardiothoracic surgical patients.
• Inpatient duties include rounding, orders, discharge planning, and protocol development.
• Work with CTICU team in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment.
• Eligible for prescriptive authority required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage critically ill postoperative cardiac/thoracic patients in ICU.
• Perform procedures and manage ventilators, vasoactive medications, ECMO, and temporary devices.
• Participate in rounds, care planning, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
• Contribute to quality improvement and research activities.
