Job summary

Hartford Hospital is seeking a Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to join the Surgical Critical Care team in the ICU. The APPs will be essential participants in a multidisciplinary approach to complex surgical and trauma patients, with supervision by the practice physicians.

The role is full-time, permanent nights at 79 Jefferson St, with premium differentials offered and no call. Hartford HealthCare supports APP practice with strong professional resources.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License (or eligible).
• Certified or board-eligible Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive assessment and care plans for ICU patients under physician supervision.
• Deliver evidence-based treatments and monitor complex postoperative and trauma cases.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes in the Surgical Critical Care unit.
