Qualifications

• At least three years of hands-on work experience in HVAC/training.
• Higher credentials in a relevant field are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain open communication with the program administrator.
• Provide classroom, lab and/or clinical instruction based on school policies.
• Develop course syllabi, lesson plans and instructional materials with program leadership.
• Demonstrate strong teaching practices to deliver course content effectively.
• Create a learning environment conducive to student success in classroom and lab.
• Maintain an organized, safe teaching space and follow safety regulations.
• Manage classroom professionalism and diverse student needs.
• Evaluate student performance using designated tools in classroom and lab.
• Follow academic and student services policies and attendance requirements.
• Enter and maintain attendance and grades in the Student Information System.
• Respond to feedback and improve effectiveness from evaluations.
• Submit required paperwork and attend faculty meetings and professional development.

Education

Diploma/Certificate in HVAC

Three years HVAC experience

Postsecondary teaching desirable

Strong interpersonal skills

Effective communication skills
