About the Role:

The House Manager serves as a leader in planning, organizing, coaching, and facilitating clinical functions and staff for the assigned shift to support safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care. The House Manager provides leadership and coordination of nursing service activities during the scheduled shift and works closely with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare providers to promote teamwork and continuity of care.


Minimum Qualifications:


  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Oklahoma.

  • Previous clinical nursing experience with demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.

  • Knowledge of nursing practices, hospital policies, and patient care standards.

  • Ability to make sound clinical decisions and prioritize multiple needs in a fast-paced hospital environment.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively with physicians, nurses, ancillary departments, patients, families, and other healthcare providers.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow hospital policies and procedures.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN).

  • Previous experience in a charge nurse, supervisor, house supervisor, or nursing leadership role.

  • Experience with hospital patient flow, admissions, discharges, and transfers.

  • Knowledge of DNV standards and hospital regulatory requirements.

  • Experience with staffing, resource management, and coordination of hospital operations.

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.


Responsibilities:


  • Provide leadership and support to clinical staff during the assigned shift.

  • Coordinate nursing services, staffing, and patient care needs.

  • Oversee patient admissions, discharges, and transfers while monitoring patient flow and hospital capacity.

  • Coordinate with clinical departments, physicians, and healthcare providers to support timely patient care.

  • Facilitate patient throughput and coordinate ancillary services as needed.

  • Manage supplies, equipment, and resources during the assigned shift.

  • Promote teamwork, communication, and customer satisfaction.

  • Ensure compliance with DNV standards and hospital policies and procedures.

  • Address staffing, clinical, and operational concerns as they arise.

  • In the absence of the Director of Nursing Services, provide leadership for nursing operations.

  • Communicate effectively with other shifts to maintain continuity of care.


Skills:

Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills are required. The House Manager must be able to make timely decisions, coordinate staff and patient care needs, manage resources, and work effectively with physicians, clinical departments, patients, and other healthcare providers.
