Job summary

Fairmont New Orleans is seeking an Overnight Housekeeper to maintain spotless back-of-house areas and support guest services during overnight shifts. You will join a luxury hospitality team dedicated to excellence in cleanliness and guest experiences.

Responsibilities include cleaning kitchens, storage, corridors, and staff spaces; responding to requests professionally; adhering to safety procedures; and assisting with banquet and event setups as needed to uphold the Fairmont standard of service.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping, janitorial, or hotel experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical ability to lift, push, pull, and carry items.
• Flexible availability including weekends, holidays, and evenings.

• Restock operational supplies and housekeeping items as assigned.
• Assist with overnight setup and cleaning for banquets, restaurants, rooftops, and events.
• Support operations with cleaning and assistance as assigned.
• Maintain break rooms and staff areas tidy and organized.
• Safely handle cleaning chemicals and equipment per SDS guidelines.

Job Description

• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of back-of-house operational areas throughout overnight shifts
• Respond promptly to guest and colleague requests in a professional and friendly manner.
• Clean and maintain service corridors, employee hallways, stewarding spaces, kitchens, storage rooms, loading dock areas, locker rooms, offices, and operational workspaces
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, sanitize, and remove debris from designated operational areas according to departmental cleaning schedules
• Remove trash, recycling, linens, and operational waste from back-of-house areas in accordance with hotel sanitation procedures
• Ensure floors, drains, mats, and workspaces remain clean, dry, organized, and free of hazards at all times
• Restock operational supplies, sanitation products, paper products, and housekeeping support items as assigned
• Assist with overnight setup, breakdown, and cleaning support for banquet functions, restaurants, bars, rooftop outlets, and special events as operationally required
• Support overnight stewarding, housekeeping, engineering, and food & beverage operations with cleaning and operational assistance as assigned
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of employee break rooms, locker rooms, and administrative support areas
• Safely handle cleaning chemicals, sanitation supplies, carts, and cleaning equipment in accordance with SDS guidelines and hotel safety standards
• Report maintenance concerns, sanitation issues, safety hazards, or operational deficiencies promptly to leadership
• Follow all workplace safety procedures, sanitation standards, and hotel operational policies at all times
• Maintain professionalism, reliability, and operational efficiency throughout overnight operations
• Uphold luxury hospitality standards through attention to detail, teamwork, and cleanliness excellence
• Perform additional overnight operational support duties as assigned

Qualifications
