Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Associate's degree in Business Admin, Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Security or related field preferred.
• 2 years of security, law enforcement, or military police preferred.
• 2 years of healthcare or education experience preferred.
• DL Class C license and insurability required upon hire.
• ACPI, NCSO/CSO and TASER certifications with annual recertification required.

Responsibilities

• Patrol buildings and clinics for after-hours entry.
• Lock/unlock doors per schedule and escort to parking areas.
• Identify and remove unauthorized individuals from property.
• Maintain compliance with Texas Health Police policies.
• Pursue and detain individuals involved in criminal activity.
• Complete incident reports and narratives.
• Interact with police, fire, patients, visitors and staff.
• Provide security for mobile health teams during events.
• Conduct safety and security training for staff.
• Perform building risk assessments and duress alarm tests.
• Provide on-site uniformed presence as needed.
• Conduct random weapon screening.
