Qualifications

• Two to five (2-5) years of experience in law enforcement, security operations, or a related field is required.
• Health-care setting experience preferred.
• Must pass background check.
• Must not possess weapons on duty.
• Ability to obtain state security credentials as needed.

Responsibilities

• Protects life and property on hospital premises.
• Deescalates tense situations.
• Contacts local police for incidents requiring restraint.
• Patrols buildings and grounds to prevent fire, theft, and vandalism.
• Reports incidents and maintains logs and reports.
• Controls access for staff, patients, visitors and vendors.
• Operates security systems such as CCTV and access control.
• Participates in emergency response and drills.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and professional rapport with staff.
