Job summary

Allegheny Valley Hospital, part of Allegheny Health Network, is seeking an Environmental Services Associate for the Night shift to maintain a clean, safe patient environment in Natrona Heights, PA.

This full-time role performs patient room cleaning, department housekeeping, exterior cleaning, and restocking of dispensers while adhering to safety standards and hospital policies, ensuring high-quality care support for our staff and patients.

Qualifications

• Basic reading, writing and effective communication skills.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Ability to operate power equipment.
• FIT testing may be required, but provided upon hire as needed.

Responsibilities

• Performs timely patient room cleaning and provides cleaning support to the departments; cleans daily in all areas including discharge cleaning and other areas to ensure continuity of patient care and daily operations.
• Completes project work such as scrubbing/stripping and refinishing of hard floors, carpet cleaning, wall washing, trash removal, biohazardous linens and sharps container removal, and curtain cleaning.
• Actively participates in Service Excellence initiatives to meet department goals.
• Adheres to hospital safety standards in the use of chemicals, equipment and machinery and clearly marks hazardous areas.
• Adheres to hospital policies and regulations.
