Job summary

Angela Hospice in Livonia is seeking a Care Center Nurse for the night shift in our on-site Care Center. You will administer and document medications and treatments, provide consistent nursing care, and build one-on-one connections with patients.

You will lead, educate, and support LPNs, nursing assistants, and volunteers. You’ll monitor patient conditions, communicate changes to the team, and educate families about medications, procedures, and end-of-life care with compassion and respect.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Michigan.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience in a care setting.
• Night shift availability required.

Responsibilities

• Administer and document medications/treatments as ordered by the physician.
• Provide continuity of care and demonstrate nursing skills.
• Complete comprehensive assessments with compassion and respect.
• Document assessments, care plans, and care provided per policy.
• Lead, educate, and support LPNs, nursing assistants, and volunteers.
• Report changes in patient condition and follow up accordingly.
• Educate patients and families about medications, treatments, end-of-life care.

• Administer and document medications/treatments as ordered by the physician.
• Demonstrate your skills and knowledge of nursing as you provide continuity of care.

Inspire.

• Provide guidance, education, and leadership to LPNs, nursing assistants, and volunteers.

Advocate.

• Report changes in patient condition to responsible team members and complete follow up actions as necessary.
• Provide education for patients and their families regarding medications, treatments and procedures, disease processes, self-care techniques, end-of-life, and processes for dealing with issues of ethical concern.
• Work as a team on Care Center wings for patient assignments.

What You Bring
