Job summary

Pride Health is hiring a Histotechnician to support a medical facility in Oklahoma City, OK. This 3-month contract offers a path to full-time through conversion considerations, with a pay rate of $45-55/hr on W2 and shifts from 11:00 pm to 7:30 am, or 5:00 am to 1:30 pm.

The role requires an AS degree in histotechnology or equivalent experience; ASCP certification preferred. Responsibilities include routine histology, embedding, microtomy, H&E staining, and slide prep, with strict adherence to

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Histotechnology or equivalent required or 5 years Histotechnician experience with high school diploma.
• HT (ASCP) certification preferred or ASCP eligibility.
• Experience with routine histology, tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, and H&E staining required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and non-routine histology procedures for tissue specimen preparation.
• Process tissue specimens including embedding, microtomy, and H&E staining.
• Prepare and coverslip slides using manual or automated methods.
• Assist with special stains as assigned by Histology Manager/Supervisor.
• Complete accessioning and reporting documentation accurately.
• Maintain compliance with CLIA, CAP, and all applicable regulations.
• Keep the laboratory clean, organized, and operating efficiently.
