Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Histotechnology, or related science as applicable.
• MT/HT certification (ASCP) preferred; NCLS certification considered.
• 2–4 years of progressively responsible lab technologist experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and reviews the work of laboratory personnel to ensure tests and procedures are performed correctly and results are accurate.
• Oversees the inventory system to maintain adequate supplies and materials.
• Trains and evaluates staff on technical procedures; acts as liaison for problems across departments.
• Maintains quality control and preventive maintenance programs and records.
• Assists in selection, transfer, promotion and discharge decisions for subordinates.
• Performs the duties of a full-time medical technologist as needed.
