• Recommend groceries to customers and inform about specials.
• Check product quality for freshness and review sell-by dates.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise; provide fresh products.
• Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Display a positive attitude and stay current with ads.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers and log temperatures.
• Enforce safety programs and notify management of unsafe conditions.
• Inspect equipment and report items in need of repair.
• Notify management of accidents and safety risks.
