Job summary

Kroger in Montana is seeking a Front End/Store Associate to create an outstanding customer experience through service and a safe, clean environment. You will assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals and uphold all quality standards.

You will engage with customers, answer questions about products, stock and label merchandise, and follow all safety guidelines. Prior retail experience and a second language are valued.

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Create an environment that makes customers feel welcome and appreciated by answering questions about products.
• Gain knowledge of products and suggest items to customers.
• Recommend groceries and inform customers of specials.
• Check product quality and review sell by dates.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise and provide fresh products.
• Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Display a positive attitude and stay current with ads.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Ensure proper temperatures in cases and maintain temperature logs.
• Support safety programs and report unsafe conditions.
• Inspect equipment and notify management of repairs.
• Notify management of accidents or safety risks.
