You will develop schedules, manage inventory, implement promotions, monitor budgets, and uphold safety standards while living Kroger's values and driving store success.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction).
• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• High school education or equivalent preferred.
• Grocery experience.

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Communicate information to associates and manage department.
• Collaborate with associates and promote teamwork to achieve goals.
• Establish performance goals and empower associates to meet targets.
• Develop scheduling to manage customer volume during hours of operation.
• Train associates on performance and participate in performance appraisals.
• Adhere to laws, guidelines, and safety procedures.
• Gain knowledge of products and respond to questions.
• Inform customers of grocery specials and promote products.
• Create and execute a department business plan and promotions.
• Prepare seasonal critiques and implement promotional plans.
• Monitor inventory and update shelf tags and signs.
• Plan, organize and supervise inventory processes.
• Train on inventory/stocking and Computer Assisted Ordering.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain temperatures.
• Enforce safety programs and report safety risks.
• Notify management of accidents and issues.
