Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a customer-focused associate to deliver exceptional service in a busy department. You will help create a welcoming environment, answer product questions, and assist in achieving department sales goals while ensuring quality standards.

You will stay informed about current ads, promotions, and safety policies, maintaining accurate temps and inventory, and supporting the manager with daily operations at the Stone Mountain, GA store.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).
• Effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Create an environment where customers feel welcome and appreciated by answering questions about products in the department and store.
• Gain and maintain knowledge of department products and respond to questions with recommendations.
• Suggest grocery items to meet customer needs and inform about specials.
• Check product quality, review sell-by dates, stock inventory, and provide fresh products.
• Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Display a positive attitude.
• Stay current with ads and promotions.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers and log temperatures.
• Reinforce safety programs and report unsafe conditions to management.
• Inspect equipment and report needed repairs.
• Notify management of accidents or safety issues.
• Report safety risks and theft or fraud.
• Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
