Job summary

Rogers Group, Inc. in Springdale, AR is seeking a Night Pit Loader Operator / Maintenance to safely load rock and support plant operations.

The role requires operating a front-end loader, performing daily inspections, and aiding with plant maintenance while adhering to safety standards. The successful candidate will have at least one year of wheel loader experience, be able to work outdoors in all weather, lift up to 50 lbs, and be prepared for overtime as production dictates.

Qualifications

• Uncompromising focus on safety excellence.
• Must have at least one year experience operating a large-size wheel loader.
• Experience operating a variety of heavy equipment – dozer, track hoe, skid steer – preferred.
• General mechanical knowledge.
• Previous fixed plant maintenance or related industry experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of wash plant and crusher equipment a plus.
• Self-starter/ ability to work without close supervision.
• Physical ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and lift/move up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen at any time.
• Must be able to provide documentation to prove identity and eligibility for authorization to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Operate front-end loader to move and load shot rock, crushed stone, or overburden safely and efficiently.
• Maintain consistent feed to the plant/crusher while minimizing downtime and spillage.
• Plant maintenance and clean up when needed.
• Perform daily pre-shift inspections of equipment and report any mechanical issues or needed repairs.
• Assist with maintaining haul roads, loading areas, and stockpiles to ensure safe and efficient traffic flow.
• Communicate effectively with the plant operator, haul truck drivers, and other pit personnel using radios and hand signals.
• Follow all company policies OSHA/MSHA/Environmental regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
• May be called upon to perform any other duties assigned and/or assist with other areas as necessary.
• Willingness to cross-train and assist in other areas of the operation as needed.
