Job summary

Staffmark Group is hiring a Freight Clerk in Rural Hall, NC. This role pays $20.00 per hour and works 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM, with weekend flexibility. You’ll help keep freight moving by tracking shipments and preparing shipping documents.

Ideal candidates have at least a high school diploma or GED, 2 years in a similar role, and familiarity with BOLs, carriers, and tracking systems. Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel, is expected; steel-toed boots required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience with Bills of Lading (BOLs) and shipping documents.
• Knowledge of carriers, LTL/FTL shipping methods, and tracking systems.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and email.
• Steel-toes.

Responsibilities

• Track shipments and ensure on-time delivery.
• Resolve shipping issues, delays, and damaged freight.
• Update shipment status in tracking systems.
• Communicate shipping updates with customers.
• Schedule pickups and deliveries with carriers.
• Verify shipping details, quantities, and addresses.
• Maintain shipping records and reports.
• Work with warehouse and logistics teams to keep freight moving smoothly.
• Assist with inventory checks and shipment audits.
