Job summary

Americold is seeking a Forklift Operator for our New Jersey facility. Under general supervision you will ensure safe receipt, storage, and shipment of food products using sit down and stand-up forklifts, high-reach trucks, RF scanners, and related equipment.

You will load/unload freight, stack and store merchandise, pick shipments, and verify accuracy while maintaining safety and production standards. The role requires attention to detail, flexibility for overtime, and the ability to work in

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma preferred.
• 3 months related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment to move products to storage.
• Stack and store merchandise, pick and assemble orders, check freight for accuracy, damage, and infestation, label, wrap, and pack as directed by management.
• Operate equipment (various forklifts, pallet jacks, RF scanners) safely to meet production standards.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment and meet production targets.
• Assist with inventory, cleaning, and battery changes as needed.
