RRD Company in Illinois is seeking a Forklift Operator for the 3rd shift to move finished products, stage items for shipping, and stock materials for the Manufacturing Department. The role involves loading, inventory checks, and daily hoist inspections, with emphasis on safe, efficient material handling.

Responsibilities include operating equipment, ensuring correct load balance, and assisting with training as needed. Shift is 10pm-6am; benefits and safety policies apply.

Qualifications

• Must know how high, wide, and long the fork lift truck and its load are, and how much the fork lift truck can lift.
• Ability to identify doorway and aisle dimensions for forklift operation and load placement.
• Knowledge of storage area layout to locate and place items without detailed instructions.
• Skilled in moving fork lift trucks in tight spaces.
• Greater knowledge and skill than Hoist Operator 1 in handling fork lift controls.
• Must be able to operate forklift controls in narrow aisles, ramps, and in/out of railroad cars and trucks.
• Must recognize load balance and forklift capacity.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 50 pounds.

Responsabilités

• Operates equipment to move finished product for shipping or storage.
• Supplies Manufacturing Department with materials as needed.
• Stages product to be moved or shipped.
• Racks unused supplies and maintains inventory of type, amount and location of items.
• Transports and processes manufacturing paper by-products.
• Empties trash hoppers and performs housekeeping duties as needed.
• Performs routine daily inspections on hoist and reports maintenance needs.
• May include battery service duties and lubricating truck parts.
• May include changing LP/Propane.
• Adheres to safety policies including hazardous waste handling and lock out-tag out.
