Job summary

RRD Company in Illinois seeks a 3rd shift forklift operator to move finished goods and supply materials for the Manufacturing Department. You will operate forklifts, stage products for shipping, and keep a clean, safe workspace.

This role requires awareness of load limits, navigating tight spaces, and following all safety policies. All hires are subject to background and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Must know how high, wide, and long the forklift and its load are and how much it can lift.
• Ability to identify doorway/aisle clearance for forklift travel and load placement.
• Knowledge of storage layout to locate/place items without detailed instructions.
• Skilled in moving forklifts in tight spaces.

Responsibilities

• Operates equipment to move finished product for shipping or storage
• Supplies Manufacturing Department with materials as needed
• Stages product to be moved or shipped
• Racks unused supplies and maintains inventory of type, amount and location of items
• Transports and processes manufacturing paper by-products
• Empties trash and performs housekeeping duties as needed
• Performs routine daily inspections on hoist and reports maintenance needs
• May include battery service duties and lubrication of truck parts
• May include changing LP/Propane
• Adheres to safety policies and reports hazards
• Shares expertise and trains others as assigned
