Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a warehouse associate in Ashley, Indiana, for the 3rd shift (Mon-Thu, 8:00 PM–6:30 AM) to manage freight on the Receiving dock using RF/PDA devices. The role focuses on safe, timely, cost-effective replenishment of slots and supporting store operations in a high-paced distribution center.

Responsibilities include operating PIT equipment, logging performance, replenishing freight, inspecting for damage, and maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• Education: None
• Experience: Three to six months experience operating Powered Industrial Trucks in preferred.
• Physical requirements: Frequent lifting, walking, standing, moderate climbing, occasional sitting, stooping and kneeling with/without accommodation.
• Working conditions: Climate-controlled distribution/warehouse; possible fumes and airborne particles per OSHA.
• Availability: Willing to work overtime, weekends and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Operate PIT equipment safely and complete the daily PIT checklist.
• Transport freight from the dock to storage or shipment; complete Daily Activity Log to track productivity.
• Replenish modules with correct freight free of damage to maintain quality standards.
• Ensure correct slotting and remove empty pallets to maintain workflow and safety.
• Report discrepancies and follow safety procedures; keep work area organized.
