BASIC PURPOSEWe are looking for Forklift Operators who relish the chance to push their potential, grow and reap the rewards of joining the US FOODS family
Forklift Operators start at $24.41 plus a $.50 night shift differential.
Work Schedule: Sunday - ThursdaySunday start time 5pm
Monday - Thursday start time 5:30pm
As a US FOODS Forklift Operator you will be critical to the US FOODS team and one of the important faces of our organization Your efforts are the foundation that defines US FOODS success based on our pillars of cultural beliefs, work ethic, collaborative spirit, and service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Transports pallet loads of product from dock to correct warehouse slot using powered industrial equipment and insures all pallets are secure in designated slots to avoid damage or injury when product is selected.
Replenishes pick slots with product from reserve slots to maintain inventory levels for night shift selection.
Performs operations and safety check, including battery, brakes, lift controls, and fire extinguisher.
Records all product, equipment and warehouse damage.
Maintains the cleanliness of aisles by removing any debris from floor and racks.
Follows safety policies and practices at all times.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
Education/Training: High School diploma or equivalent preferred
Related Experience: Job-related certification for Material Handling Equipment; Prior Selector and/or Forklift experience is preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Able to read and write legibly; basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
RELATIONSHIPS
Internal: Warehouse Supervisor, Inventory Control
External: N/A
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Comfortable working in a multi-temperature environment ranging from -5 degrees to over 100 degrees require
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Able to read and write legibly; basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide); must be able to understand Voxware commands.
CERTIFICATIONS/TRAINING
OSHA compliant Forklift Certification
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or equivalent preferred
Prior Selector experience preferred
Prior Forklift Operator experience preferred
Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected compensation for this role is between $24.41 per hour. and $24.91 per hour.
