Job summary

Qualifications

• CDL required (Class A or B) or ability to obtain.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements or ability to obtain.
• Clean driving record with positive points.
• Able to pass DOT/FMCSA requirements and background checks.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple drivers and schedules during night shifts.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays as required.
• Basic computer skills to learn dispatch systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor overnight fuel deliveries and driver assignments.
• Communicate with drivers and support delivery instructions, route changes and issues.
• Monitor driver progress and address issues affecting timely or safe deliveries.
• Adjust routes and assignments as field conditions change.
• Maintain records and shift notes for daily reports.
• Relay important operational information to incoming staff and management.
• Pull inventory readings and conduct bulk plant inspection.
• Monitor driver hours to optimize stops, gallons and cost per mile.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and DOT/FMCSA requirements.
• Escalate issues to management when needed.
• Coordinate with other departments as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
