Job summary

Trirobotics is seeking a Robot Field Operator for overnight field work on California’s Central Coast. You’ll operate and monitor a vehicle-sized robot, collect in-field data, and learn robotics hardware and programming in a startup environment. Training will be provided, with shadows to gain hands-on experience.

A strong team mindset and passion for sustainable farming are essential. Location is Santa Maria, CA with night shift scheduling every three days.

Qualifications

• Clear communication in English (verbal and written)
• Capable of lifting 50 lbs and handling field equipment
• Basic understanding of electrical systems relevant to robotics
• Ability to work efficiently as part of a team
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• High ambition to contribute to company growth
• Passion for sustainable farming and the outdoors

Responsibilities

• Robot build days and setup on treatment sites
• Operate and monitor field robot during night treatments
• Log treatment notes and report robot progress
• Troubleshoot issues that may affect treatment delivery
• Attend regular team meetings
• Transport to and from treatment sites
