Job summary

Ohio State University is seeking a Planned & Preventative Maintenance Specialist to manage and execute maintenance across Student Life facilities (~6.2m sq ft). You will lead preventive maintenance on building, mechanical, dining equipment, and coordinate with Student Life Facilities Managers to keep operations smooth and safe.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and maintenance experience, ability to lift 70 lbs, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience; 2 years of maintenance experience.
• Must be able to push/pull 70 pounds, climb ladders, have a valid driver’s license.
• Successful completion of a background check.

Responsibilities

• Develops, delivers and executes Student Life planned and preventative maintenance program; identifies deficiencies and corrective actions; diagnoses building and mechanical issues and resolves them.
• Supervises contractors and university business partners; coordinates safety and quality; creates reports and ensures program compliance.
• Responds to urgent facilities issues; handles day-to-day tasks; maintains safety manuals and SDS documentation; supports building operations and events.
