Job summary

United Felts is seeking an Extruder Operator for night shift to monitor material and ensure products meet customer specifications and quality standards.

Responsibilities include loading pellets, operating the electric eye system, assisting with setup, and reporting quality issues. Requires GED/HS diploma and completion of 3 months on-the-job training; physical demands include lifting up to 60 lbs and prolonged standing.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills required.
• Ability to read and interpret construction sheets and customer requirements.
• Knowledge of quality control concepts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Read construction sheet and customer requirement sheet to meet customer requirements.
• Program electric eye system.
• Load pellets in extruder hopper and ensure material flow.
• Assist with machine setups and tie down/wrap materials.
• Report quality problems to supervisor promptly.
• Perform maintenance duties as needed.
• Keep work area clean and report shortages to supervisor.
