Job summary

MercyOne Dubuque is seeking a part-time night-shift janitorial professional to maintain clean patient rooms and discharge units, and keep hospital areas spotless. The role includes routine cleaning tasks, inventory replenishment, and adherence to hospital standards.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and be willing to learn hospital cleaning procedures. Prior hospital experience is preferred but on-the-job training is possible; a flexible night schedule is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Experience in hospital standards/des procedures desirable but not mandatory as may be trained on the job.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean patient rooms and discharge units to meet hospital standards.
• Maintain clean office/ancillary areas.
• Differentiate between isolations and perform special isolation cleaning as required.
• Keep cart, equipment, and storage areas clean and organized.
• Replenish supplies and report needs for repair of equipment/furniture.
• Report the need for repair of equipment, furniture, building, and fixtures to appropriate person.
